The Saudis and Pakistani have a long history of cooperation in security matters :) Enjoy!
Beginning with the oil shock in the early 70s, petrodollars would flow into KSA. This would directly lead to more financial support for Pakistan. The timing proved fortuitous for Pakistan. Prime Minister Bhutto’s socialist-style policies were expensive but were indirectly supported by the KSA. And in the lead-up to the Iranian Revolution, Pakistan would deploy thousands of its troops to KSA for security duties.
