Biblical inerrancy is not the de facto Christian position of what it means to read the Bible faithfully. It is a modernist imposition onto the Bible, one that philosophically requires God to have created a book that is historically and scientifically perfect. But that is not how Scripture behaves. It is only how some need it to be.
