Why details matter:

Substack’s 3:2 post cover photo dimensions doesn’t match the 1200×628 px link preview image for X/Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.

As a result, writers who have their own branding are forced to choose between showing a cropped photo on Substack vs. a cropped photo on social.
