Recent announcements in the security software market regarding open standards and frameworks, make me wonder: could a unified security Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) emerge in the near future through a merger between a major SIEM vendor and a leading observability provider?

I’m just speculating but I think that kind of solution, combining the strengths of both domains, would revolutionise security operations by offering a comprehensive view of an organisation’s digital environment.

When you then add in Agentic AI, the potential benefits are profound. Better visibility. Faster threat detection. More precise responses. That would be the start of a new transformative era for security operations.
