26 days of government shutdown Kabuki crap with neither side shifting their stance. If no one blinks this shutdown is on course to become the longest one ever.

SNAP and WIC continue to move closer to running out of funds, meaning nutrition assistance for those in the lower income brackets is in jeopardy as early as November 1st.
Chuck Schumer is complaining that President Trump is heading to Asia for the annual Association of Southeast Asian Nations summit, with additional trips to Japan and South Korea, during the shutdown. Meanwhile, Schumer and Senate Democrats still refuse to pass the “clean” continuing resolution to extend previous funding levels for approximately seven weeks.
Both sides are demanding the other side simply surrender. Neither side is willing to surrender. It does not take a rocket scientist to realize neither side has a strategy to break the stalemate.
