My brain abends on the phrase "the CDC knows..."

Those lunatics wouldn't know water was wet if they were drowning in it, and they most assuredly do not know how to pour piss out of a boot even with the directions written on the heel.

They may not say they're crazy, but they don't have to. Their actions say it for them--loudly.
