When I first read the statement from the pastor in Knoxville, announcing the banning of the TLM, my first thought was: “This sounds as if he wrote it with a gun to his head.” Maybe I’m wrong— it’s possible— but as Leila explains, the bishop should have explained the decision himself.

Of course the bishop says (or so the pastor reports) that the Vatican made the decision. A whole lot of buck-passing going on here.
