About 2-3 times a day, on average, someone asks me what I expect from Pope Leo. My answer: I don’t know; I’m still waiting for clear signs.

Thus far he seems strongly disinclined to make substantial policy changes, and that’s unfortunate, because substantial changes are needed. But the good news— and this is a change— is that he doesn’t see people like me as enemies.

So there may not to much change, but there’s definitely a thaw. I think Mark Nowakowski has it right:
