If you are disappointed with Magnifica Humanitas because its perspective seems too worldly, read this outstanding response to the encyclical from an Eastern Catholic perspective. The author, Inez Angeli Murzaku, “argues that the Eastern Catholic patrimony reveals what is already latent in the encyclical…”— in other words, supplies what some readers feel is missing.
A sample, commenting on the Pope’s rejection of transhumanism:
