Two cheers for HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr, who last week announced the end of emergency authorization for Covid drugs. Kennedy said this move is “reinforcing public confidence that emergency authorities are temporary and targeted.”
Temporary: as in, for several years. Targeted: as in, for the entire population.
But it’s over now, so hooray. Well, actually the “emergency” status will remain in place for another 12 months, but eventually their producers will have to play by the rules. 2nd Hooray.
