I took a Pony AI robotaxi across Shenzhen yesterday. From Fresh Hippo, Alibaba's supermarket, back to the Shenzhen Bay checkpoint, then I walked across the border into Hong Kong. A grocery run, finished off by a car with nobody in the front seat.

4.1km, 26 minutes. It put me down exactly where it said it would: channel 4, get off on the right.

The thing I kept staring at was the receipt. 27 yuan, 17 after the discount (USD 2.5-ish), for half an hour of compute, sensors, and a clean GAC Aion. Cheap to the point of being someone else's problem, not mine. Well, partly mine: full disclosure, I hold a small Pony AI position in my venture sleeve.
