She's what came to mind when trying to articulate why this isn't quite it. Because yes, there are ways women dress to indicate wanting male attention, but the 1992 version is not the 2012 one is not the 2026 one, plus subcultures, etc.
It's immediately visually clear in the context of the show that Rose is dressed for a male gaze, but a woman who dressed item-by-item like Rose today would look eccentric more than seductive.
