Greetings from the study, the early morning dentist visit edition. I had to reschedule a cleaning and had them slot me in this morning at 8:00! Why??? What was I thinking? On the plus side, I’ll get it out of the way early, run an errand or two and get on with my day. On the negative side: it’s a dental cleaning. No one likes those. Ever. Aside from the casual banter with the hygienist, and the relief at the end when she says, “see you in six months,” can anyone find anything positive to say about the experience? I know it has to be done, and I go religiously, and I don’t fear it, but it’s one of those necessary, but uncomfortable events in one’s life. Not quite akin to a colonoscopy I suppose, but at least those are every five years.
