Greetings from the study on another rainy, cold and dreary morning. I recently decided to look back at my solar app to see how we’re doing at producing energy in the panels versus prior years, and in each of the first three months of 2026, we’ve had less sunshine than in any of the previous two years, thus confirming that our weather has generally SUCKED for the last few months. And there’s no sun forecasted until next week.

And on that cheery note, how is everyone? I had a very busy day in the ED yesterday, starting from the moment I walked into the department. We were flooded with patients and I was constantly on the move. My legs and hips were really feeling it by the time I left after the four hour shift. A few hours later and I was off to my camera club meeting (a 30 minute drive in the rain!) where we had a great presentation on how to capture photos of the Northern Lights.

Lately I’ve been questioning my photo editing software and trying to decide if I should bite the bullet and go with Lightroom after all these years. But then I also need a new computer. So many considerations as I pursue this craft of mine.

On this otherwise blah weather day, let’s go to the beach.
