Every once in a while I capture an image that just makes me so glad that I have the opportunity to take pictures. Yesterday was one of those times. This is a simple house finch. A male, perched on the top of my dogwood tree, whose leaves are now deep maroon as October winds on. I shot this with a telephoto lens with a wide enough aperture to blur the background, which created a nice effect. I think this one is getting printed.
