The best advice I received for raising “ministry kids”: involve them in the ministry. Not with the goal of future missionaries / pastors (that is God’s call) but to raise them “under the mission” as long as they are in the home. Teach them the “why” behind the mission, help them be bought it into it - show them the ministry isn’t robbing them of parents. It’s a whole family endeavor. We pay our kids for the work they do for the ministry (we don’t pay for household chores). We bring them to conferences and events and teach them why we do what we do. The general attitude toward it is one of family unity, not “mom’s ministry”.
