Working flat out. Endlessly.

Have now got my original manuscript (copied out diaries) from 330k words to 150k words.

Still have to get it down to 95k words. Has taken weeks and lost count of the number of 2am finishes to date.

Still hacking out fat.

This is the easy bit. When I have to carve into lean muscle it will get harder but faster.

I have to go it in one go or I lose track and miss repetition. I’ve started so I must finish.

But, I am so dog tired.

I won’t listen to the inner voice that says in a years time, when it will be shiny and crafted…it will still only be worth a couple of cups of coffee to someone, at best.

But we writers don’t write for riches or glory but for the writer’s itch.

I just want to hide under blankets and binge watch Game of Thrones.
