Hot Take: I actually kinda hate the quote feature on substack because it reminds me of Sombr saying he writes his songs by playing good hooks for people on live streams and seeing which ones people like. I just feel like valuing “quotability” and “pretty sentences” is a bit of detriment to the writing community as eventually having a good plot and and overall well crafted essay becomes subservient to marketability 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️
