Canada has plenty of mineral wealth without the Arctic but with it - their mineral wealth is incredible. They have 31 of 34 critical minerals essential for 21st century technology IN THE ARCTIC as well as major deposits of copper, zinc, gold, silver, nickel, and rare earths. So in the future Canada could develop more mineral resources while benefitting from new trade routes, tourism, and infrastructure development. Not to mention this changes the global geopolitical position for Canada in ways that are difficult to even pencil out or model.
