On Friday, May 15, 2026, at 1:30 pm (EST), I will be going live here on SubStack with a video lecture, “Aristotle’s Politics: Humans are Political Animals.” As the name suggests, I will be discussing Aristotle’s claim, repeated throughout the Politics, that humans are political animals: what does this claim mean, why did Aristotle think that it was true, and why are its implications for how states should be organized?

I know that the time won’t be ideal for everyone, so the lecture will be available as a recording.
