Y’all, question: If I’m writing a whole book about the gothic (as in gothic literature), should I capitalize “gothic” or not? I don’t care what is technically correct so much as how readers might react. Would constantly capitalized “Gothic” (or the inverse, always lower-case “gothic”) annoy you as a reader?
