Moses Johnson, when he first became Speaker, said if you want to know how he’d govern look to the Bible.

Proverbs 29:2

“When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice; when the wicked rule, the people groan.”

Isaiah 10:1-2

“Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees, to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people.”

Exodus 18:21

“But select capable men from all the people — men who fear God, trustworthy men who hate dishonest gain — and appoint them as officials over thousands, hundreds, fifties and tens.”

I am an atheist but these seem like good words to heed. Why do these supposed Christians not adhere to them?
