Federal agents served four search warrants and nearly two dozen people were detained outside a Home Depot near MacArthur Park, NBC Los Angeles reported on Friday. The agents also went to two office locations of Ambience Apparel in the downtown area. An LA Home Depot was raided by ICE. Reminiscent of yesterday at Ambience clothing, rioters would not let ICE leave. Vans with migrants and ICE Agents have been trapped for four hours.--Sang Bum “Ed” Noh is identified as the owner of Ambiance Apparel, a company based in the Los Angeles. In 2021, Noh pleaded guilty to conspiracy, money laundering, customs offenses, and filing false tax returns. This stemmed from a scheme where Ambiance Apparel undervalued imported garments to evade over $35 million in customs duties and taxes between 2010 and 2014. The company and Noh agreed to pay over $117 million in fines and restitution (California Apparel News, Sayari). Sentencing: On December 6, 2021, Noh was sentenced to 12 months and one day in federal prison by U.S. District Judge Virginia A.
