So here’s the thing. After Trumple Thinskin left behind an economic wasteland in 2020, Biden presided over the fastest post pandemic recovery. He went on to see inflation reduce at around 1.5% less than competing global economies.

He achieved consistent GDP growth, saw 50 year low unemployment along with record job growth. He brought Chip manufacturing to the U.S, before we talk about record infrastructure investment and reducing prescription drug costs for hard working Americans. This is not Dem propaganda, they are simple verifiable facts, not ‘alternative facts’.

So having left an economic dumpster fire behind, Trump inherited the strongest economy in the world. Again, a verifiable FACT. Biden continued the tradition of cleaning up the mess of a Republican predecessor. At this point, it’s worthy of note that 11 of the last 12 U.S. recessions were under the stewardship of Republican presidents.

In Trump’s last term, despite claiming he would wipe out the deficit, he single handedly added $7.8 trillion to the national debt representing 25% of the total. After being dragged kicking and screaming from the White House in 2021, he has trashed America at every twist and turn amidst pathetic unproven claims the election he lost was stolen.

Had his 2017 tax giveaway to corporations been treated as a business investment, it returned around a 52% LOSS, delivering little growth and no discernible benefit to middle and lower income families. It was economic folly which simply facilitated stock buybacks to boost the bottom line for the rich.

Despite all of the above, Trump has successfully lied his way back into the White House. The only thing one can draw from this, is that America was the Turkey that voted for Thanksgiving. This is totally bizarre to me from the outside looking in.

One can only assume this in some way relates to the fact, one fifth of the population in 2024 were illiterate and 54% of adults had a literacy below a 6th-grade level (20% below 5th-grade level). In Trump world, stupid became the new smart and criminal behavior the new qualification to lead the most powerful nation on the planet. The phrase, “We are all doomed springs to mind”

With the history out of the way, the reality smacks you in the face like a freight train. The one time beacon of the free world is now led by a 6 times bankrupt, tax cheat and adjudicated rapist, who stole from his own charity. What could possibly go wrong?

The first step was to wage a war on the usual easy target, DEIA. One can only assume they removed the A (Accessibility) because it might appear cruel to attack the disabled.

With a low educated largely low income base, Trump needed to play into their racism, misogyny and homophobia and boy have the knuckle draggers bought in.

What they haven’t realized yet, is that they will be equal victims of the purge when they find out their hero Nazi has relieved them of their welfare benefits. Musk is using social media to create a feeding frenzy without them realizing that the savings they are all cheering for, is going to be handed to the rich NOT shared with them.

Trump needs to fund $4 trillion in tax cuts for his rich friends with no revenue stream to fund it. The US federal government's spending budget for fiscal year 2025 was $1.79 trillion as of January 2025. Even if DOGE cut that to zero, Trump would be over $2 trillion short. The real kicker is, Fox is now telling the base it’s patriotic to pay more for groceries. All while Trump advanced a tariff strategy to up their taxes by up to 25% in the form of what is effectively a sales tax.

America is in the midst of selling the family silver to hand yet more tax cuts to the rich in the biggest shift of wealth to the top 1%. It is fiscal insanity before we consider the implications for societal collapse.
