If we understand the strengths and weaknesses of the body, we will better utilize, exploit, and target human anatomy.
Let's start with the head. Avoid knuckle punches to the forehead, top of the head and back of the head. The skull here is thick and dense and from my own personal experience, you may damage or break knuckles. Wise man once said ' don't punch niggers in the head'. Strikes to the temples and bottom rear of the head are very discombobulating to the target. However, the skull is still thick there so avoid knuckle punches if possible.
Punches to the nose are great. They are very painful but not necessarily fight-enders. Of course one of our main targets is the jaw/chin. The main reason is the chin is a lever perpendicular to the rest of your head, meaning if the chin is struck hard it creates great torsion on the rest of the head. This violent rotation causes the liquid-suspended brain to smack up against the inside of the skull causing concussions and knockouts.
Even straight on punches to the chin can cause sufficient torsion however strikes from the side of the face punching through the chin will be the most effective to produce ko's. 40sec video, with good examples of ko's from chin punches causing rotation.
