The more time I spend on poorly maintained walking trails, in fields of tall swaying grass, on muddy lakeshores and precipitous riverbanks, on rocky cliffs overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, or under the canopy of a big tree during a heavy rain shower; the more I'm immersed in the natural world - with or without my camera - the more I realize that these are the times that I feel most like me.
Anyone else?
The photograph: an American Bullfrog. Taken in the mud at Bannister Lake in Cambridge, Ontario in August of 2025. I call it ‘Duality’.
