I also struggle with the possibility of me not having the mental strength to be the mother that you need. I’m an anxious person. I always have been. I have never known anything different. I would worry about you to the point that it would feel suffocating. And I worry that you would retreat from me just to get a breath of air. None of this would be because I don’t trust you. It would be because I don’t trust the world we would live in.
