I've spent over a decade studying Dąbrowski's theory of positive disintegration and the concept of overexcitability. For most of that time, I was working within gifted education. The work continues: I have papers under review, papers to write, and data to share. But I've experienced harm in this field, and I've watched it happen to others. I'm grappling with what it means to keep publishing within a system I can no longer defend.
