Here’s some reasons I'm not installing OpenClaw yet:

1. OpenClaw can open up your machine and private files to prompt injection attacks. You have to know what you’re doing, and the security best practices are still emergent.

2. Product Builders need to go deep instead of pursuing the latest shiny object. I'm all-in on learning Cursor and building a few projects, not to mention publishing a product newsletter every week. As Teresa Torres mentioned, I'm maxed out on the amount of new AI tools I can tinker with.

3. I'm waiting for security vulnerabilities to get sorted out. It's likely that Anthropic would launch an "official" version with stronger security standards.

If I did decide to experiment, it would most definitely be on a separate machine like a Mac Mini or an old laptop, and I would be extremely careful about which files, apps, and passwords I give OpenClaw access to.

I would also set up separate accounts for OpenClaw instead of giving it access to my personal email, Drive, etc.

And no, I would not instruct my agent to join Moltbook. 😂
