I want you to imagine the mind as a garden and not as a vault. Stop trying to memorize everything you read and start connecting the roots. Integration will progress your reading ability for more than isolated, linear note-taking every could. Please stop writing notes while you read. Learn how to think instead. To connect, to relate and compare, to contrast and restructure entire topics into your own meaningful chunks. The mind is not an empty box that stores facts. It's a living ecosystem of knowledge, a spider's web. Start reading like you know this as fact, and watch the books begin to fly off the shelf straight into your brain like a sponge absorbing water.
