Ted Turner passed away this morning, according to CNN, which is an unimpeachable source in this particular case. He was 87. We are a few days away from the anniversary of Turner's one-day career as manager of the Atlanta Braves, and I enjoyed learning more about Turner's baseball years and telling that story this week and next. He was one of the most interesting characters in America for good reason. I am going to get back to that writing, but it's heavier  knowing the main character has left us today.
