Make money doing the work you believe in

On Saturday, Professor Derek Peterson delivered a commencement address that will be remembered not because it was radical — but because it is now censored.

He celebrated Jewish students, Black students, women, and Palestinian solidarity activists. For this, the University of Michigan President issued a public apology and scrubbed the speech from the university’s website.

The apology wasn’t issued for the first three groups. Just at the mention of Palestinian humanity.

This phenomenon on university campuses does not exist in isolation. It is part of a broader, documented, accelerating collapse of press freedom in the United States that should be front page news.
