Last night a county commission approved Kevin O'Leary's massive data center in Utah. 40,000 acres to toxic data centers against the overwhelming opposition of locals. These aren’t bleeding heart liberals, these are conservatives. Utah is a red state. Kevin O’Leary is a conservative. And he got his Data Center against the will of people he claims to agree with.

Here’s the thing. 7 Police Departments and the Utah Dept of Corrections have 287g agreements, which deputize Utah police to do the work of ICE fascists and round up immigrants, who ICE claims will harm and kill Utahns.

Why is this relevant? It proves that the immigrant culture wars that billionaires have people fighting are deliberate. The GOP is about to send ICE another $38B to round up immigrants, claiming they’re violent and “illegal.” Even though immigrants and undocumented immigrants have always had a lower crime rate than US born citizens.

So what does this have to do with Kevin O’Leary and his Data Centers?

Kevin O'Leary is an immigrant. Data Centers are deadly.

Aside from water waste, noise pollution, light pollution, and spiking energy costs, Data Centers cost lives. A recent study found that by 2030, Data Centers will cause ~600K asthma cases, 1300 premature deaths, and impose a public health cost of more than $20 Billion.

Are Americans good with 1300 premature deaths so billionaires can get even wealthier?

Apparently, because while conservatives condemn undocumented immigrants who overstayed a visa, there’s been no calls to ban immigrants like Kevin O’Leary. After all, he's wealthy & white, and the harm he’s doing is through sickness and disease over time, not an immediate violent act. So, he gets a pass.

This is what happens when Americans buy into billionaire culture wars, instead of recognizing that the only war we’re in is the billionaire class verses all the rest of us. My friends on the right, your enemy isn’t the Latino immigrant just trying to make a buck to feed his family.

It’s the billionaire immigrants, whether from South Africa, Australia, Europe, or Canada, underpaying you, building Data Centers, offshoring manufacturing, and convincing you to blame the Black or brown working class family just like yours trying to make a living.

Right or Left, the billionaire class will always stand united against all of us, and spend their money to get us to fight each other while they rob us all blind. Kevin O’Leary did that to get his precious Data Center.

I’m begging you — stop falling for the culture wars. Recognize the existential class war we’re in. It’s one we cannot afford to lose. ___________________________
