Make money doing the work you believe in

Most traders blow up for the same reason.

Not bad indicators. Not bad entries. Bad risk control.

After organizing 399 rules from my Futures & Options framework, here are the 10 that actually determine survival:

  1. Never risk more than 1–2% per trade.

  2. Always use a hard stop-loss.

  3. Minimum 1:2 risk-to-reward — or skip the trade.

  4. Never use maximum leverage.

  5. Never move a stop further away.

  6. Portfolio risk capped at 6%.

  7. Never average down.

  8. Capital preservation > profit.

  9. You must have a written trading plan.

  10. Before any trade ask: – What’s my position? – What’s my risk? – What’s my tolerance? – What’s my exit?

Notice what’s missing?

No indicators. No secret setups. No prediction hacks.

Because in futures and options:

Risk management IS the strategy.

If you could only implement three today: • 1–2% risk • Hard stops • 1:2 minimum R:R

Everything else builds from there.

Which rule do you struggle with most?
