My local community’s school district ended up in the crosshairs of hateful groups like Libs of TikTok after posting a social media tribute to U.S. Rep. Sarah McBride for Women’s History Month. The comments got so ugly they deleted the post. Now the district is anticipating some of those commenters will be showing up at its board meeting tonight.

As much as we can feel powerless when looking at the national and global landscape of hatred and violence, taking action in a local matter like this is one simple way to make a real difference in how anti-trans and anti-queer sentiment is spreading in our nation and world.
