Four months ago, I discovered a traditional church in my area that has hymnals, pews, and even a real church choir. Although I had been in four different choirs throughout my life, the thought of joining a church choir had never occurred to me, as I had mistakenly thought church choirs were a thing of the past. While watching one of their livestreams online, before I had ever set foot in the building, I said to myself, “One day, I’m going to sing in that choir.” As it turns out, that day was today. It was simply amazing, and I am so glad for this opportunity. Plus, the choir director was very impressed that I memorized the song we only started learning last Thursday!
