You are not selfish for wanting beauty, depth, meaning, or freedom. You are allowed to want a life that actually feels like yours.

It may cost you approval, it may be risky, you will disappoint the expectations of others, it won't always make you feel comfortable and might unsettle those who are dedicated to playing their familiar roles. That's ok. A life built on being understood is a small one.
