I also love Twilight Struggle. If you are intelligent, it is a game well worth your time. It is a great game to learn about Cold War history.
The West created the State of Israel in Palestine in 1948:
This is no different to:
Russia attacking Ukraine.
Germany taking Poland for more land.
USA taking California from Mexico.
USA taking Alaska.
USA taking Hawai.
USA taking Texas from New Mexico
The State of Israel is surrounded by Muslims and Arabs who hate them. This includes Hamas of Palestine, which was created and funded by Israel and the US to fight Yassa Arafat (following in the proud history of the Teleban and Sadam Housain).
It is not the fault of the Israelis where there state was created. It is the fault of the West. Maybe the West had no choice after WII. But you know Hawai, or any of the other 52 states of the USA for the State of Israel?
This does not excuse the killing of any innocents. Maybe there is no point in a Jewish homeland that does not have the 3000 years of “holy lands”. Although it is holy for Jews, Christians and Muslims. Either way it can’t be changed now. But of course the West should have known better at least from the perspective of avoiding wars and more conflict in the Middle East.
Is it terrible that Hamas has killed a lot of innocent Israelis? Of course.
Is it also terrible that Israel has killed a lot of innocent Palestinians? Also yes. Far more by the way. Orders of magnitude more.

War is terrible. Let’s not promote wars. Proxy or otherwise.
There should be a state of Palestine and Israel. Holy lands must be shared. Otherwise only more death will follow.
