We are living in a strange moment: humans are now powerful enough to change the entire planet's climate, yet our time on Earth is just a tiny blink compared to the billions of years the planet has existed.
In my latest post, I look at how we've lost touch with the real rhythm of the Earth. We tend to view time like marks on a ruler or clock, a - a series of separate minutes, hours, and years. But real time is a continuous flow where the past isn't just "back there," it's living inside our DNA and the rocks beneath our feet. This deep, living history is what I call the Planetary Durée.
Right now, our fast-paced world of 24-hour news and quarterly profits is crashing into the slow, steady cycles of the Planetary Duree. To fix this, we need to stop acting like we own the Earth and start acting like its protectors.
