So, CA has released the schedule for their 2026-7 Home Summer. Blah, blah, blah, 4-Test series, boring.

A bigger curiosity is NZC turning down at least the 4th offer this decade of a Women’s Test match. Perhaps I’m a bit less outraged because I’m an FTP nerd & I saw this coming.

NZC has not shown in two decades (three, really) the willingness or desire to hold or participate in Women’s Tests. Why would they start now against Australia, when they hadn’t agreed to it in the WFTP?

Look at the West Indies: they agreed to them, they agreed to return to the Test arena by hosting Australia, & they cancel said Test at the last minute after not even scheduling any preparation. Please tell me: why would I be surprised NZC is once again rejecting offers of a Test?
