It’s really obvious to me that this trend is not rooted in a love for China so much as a hatred for the United States and the laundry list of broken promises to millions Millennials and Gen Z. It’s great to learn the words, try the food, and share the enjoyable aspects of our culture, but that isn’t the totality of what “being Chinese” means.
