Substack is a pretty high brow place. Most of my own reading last year could be considered high brow — and ya know, it wasn’t the most enjoyable reading year. Sure, it was enlightening and interesting, but honestly not very fun.

This year I’ve already read three Star Wars novels and a few comics and I’m having a blast. Low brow can be awesome and just plain fun.
