Today, I learned about the photographer Masahisa Fukase. He took photos of his wife, Yōko Wanibe, every morning as she left for work. (Spoiler: she divorced him. “He has only seen me through the lens of a camera, never without…what he saw through the lens was not me, but nothing other than himself.”)
