There is a certain irony to this - reducing an entire voting group to 'thick twats' is not exactly a watertight thesis, not least because intelligence isn't bound to how many degrees you can have* (example below).
Humanity will never progress until we can see each other as individuals. It's not just the big scary Douglas Adams number down there, that's people, with their own minds and experiences, some fundamentally different to uni-educated people.
For example, women with degrees tend to have their first child five years later than women without degrees. These are entirely different lives. Your priorities will be different.

*when I was at uni, I once witnessed a Sports Science student begging his lecturer for time off so he could go to every football match to count the scores for his essay, as he was worried that if he missed one he would not know the numbers and would fail. She informed him he could google the scores or see them on television. It was surreal.
