If you’re scrolling Chinese social media right now, you’ll come across this phrase:

“Raise the lobster” (养龙虾)

But it has nothing to do with actual lobsters.

“Raise the lobster” is a newly coined expression which means training your OpenClaw AI assistant.

OpenClaw is an open source AI agent which helps users build teams of AI assistants to handle real-world tasks like sending emails, managing calendars, and running social media accounts.

And as is often the case, this new tech viral trend has taken off in China in big way.

And with it has come a dictionary of new phrases you need to know.

Like:

“feeding the lobster” (给龙虾喂饲料)

“training the lobster” (调教龙虾)

And my personal favourite:

“One lobster, three ways” (龙虾三吃)

Which means making money from OpenClaw in the three ways — installing it, training people to use it, and uninstalling it when things go wrong.
