Sometimes Chinese and English think in exactly the same way.

Take this common phrase in Chinese:

"In one go, all at once" (一口气 yì kǒu qì)

Literally: one breath (一口 = one mouthful, 气 = air/breath).

In English we say "in one breath" for exactly the same thing. Doing something without pausing, without hesitation, without stopping to think.

Chinese does too.

It's used whenever something happens in a single, decisive move with no pauses, no second thoughts.

Use it for:

Policy announcements, product launches, any action taken all at once rather than incrementally.

Example:

Communication University abolished 16 undergraduate degrees all in one go. 中国传媒大学一口气撤销了16个本科专业和方向。
