I found Chapin’s recipe in my emailed newsletter today. The recipe I found differs by 5 grams of water and 1 gram of olive oil, and Chapin added the timings and deeper instructions which are helpful. But the photo on the original blog has pictures with a copyright notice, and it looks like the picture of the cut loaf is the same in Chapin’s emailed version, just cropped more tightly in Chapin’s version. I don’t know if the laws allow someone to commercially use a copyrighted photo without attribution if they just crop the photo down.
I am not on a witch hunt, although I am angry that any author here can offer annual subscriptions and disappear after five months of my subscription without giving notice and offering a refund.
Someone pulled the substack down. Someone pulled down her insta, facebook, and private email. Would her family do that? If they had access to her accounts, wouldn’t they let us know if she was sick or worse?
I hate monthly subscriptions and I don’t think I will ever take an annual subscription here again.
