Because I didn’t get the Covid vaccine, my employer threatened to fire me.
I had to go on unpaid leave, sell my house, and move to Saskatchewan.
Applying to jobs was tough. Despite my exemplary credentials, every position required “proof of vaccination.” I eventually found a job which paid less than half of what I was making before — and I had to start at the very bottom rung of the ladder, while my wife was expecting a baby.
In hindsight, I should have faked a vaccine certificate. It was not worth it, putting my family through all that struggle.
Nevertheless, I will always be grateful to the Trucker protesters, who sacrificed their reputations, careers, and property so that I can be free today.
I still struggle to forgive the idiots who imposed such mindless cruelty upon me.
