With sports streaming a regular fixture nowadays, Microsoft's GSIC recently launched their Anti-Piracy Tech Observatory to combat the illegal streaming and distribution of sports content. It's no secret that the most watched leagues have been bleeding money due to piracy, so this new platform is aimed at connecting tech providers, sports organisations, rights holder, and broadcasters together to address the issue.

I feel that this issue is much bigger than people realise, and one that needs to be plugged quickly. Whether this new launch will be the answer remains to be seen.
