Happy Macabre Monday, everyone! One of my favorite mistresses of horror is Shirley Jackson. I’ve been reading her published letters and have really enjoyed getting to see the way she talked to her loved ones, what she shared of her family and her writing. I was really looking forward to getting to the point of her life that she juggled three young children and her writing career. I understood that she discusses her insights in her lack of time and the priority of her family. I thought I could relate, commiserate with a horror queen, and maybe pick up some insights of my own. I’m finally there! (It’s a long book of letters. She really enjoyed her correspondents). So I’m going to get back to that.
